A competition of scientific works by young physicists, announced by the Union of Czech Mathematicians and Physicists biannually. In 2014, three opticians from Palacký University were awarded. The prize is named after Milan Odehnal (1932–1988), a significant personality in Czech physics during the period of the nineteen-sixties through the nineteen-eighties.
