U.S. News Best Global Universities Rankings

Palacký University has already appeared in the U. S. News Best Global Universities Rankings in 2014, placing at #488. In 2015, UP stepped up to the 473rd position. Only three Czech universities represented the country in the 2014 rankings, while in 2015 four made the grade.

In 2016 Palacký University achieved the 494th position, but since the last year, another 250 universities have been put on the list, and even the monitored indicators have changed. In the national comparison, UP has stepped up one position and is now the second after Charles University. From the Czech Republic only six universities made it to the top 1000.

The rankings are based on data and metrics provided by Clarivate Analytics InCites^TM (previously Thomson Reuters) research analytics solutions as well as on data submitted by the universities themselves. The top universities rankings employ 12 indicators that measure their academic research performance and international collaboration. Similarly to the THE rankings, the “reputation survey” - the opinions and evaluations of academics from all over the world - is also taken into account.
